Food and wine take on an almost religious status in France. And
our region is particularly famous for it's specialties :
ranging from truffles to calisson to melons to a wide variety
of wine. Seasonal produce delicacies are awaited with great
expectation. Every year, chefs from afar make pilgrimages to
Provence to select the cream of the crop. From Château
de Tourreau, guests can immerse themselves in sampling the riches
of the region by visiting the picturesque markets of the neighbouring
towns and villages.
To the right, in a scene frozen in time, the local farmers bring
their baskets of seasonal produce direct from their farms, to sell
from the traditional wooden trestle tables, placed under a canopy
of plane trees. Below are some of the many opportunities that await
our guests.
Should any prospective Tenant wish to have a special "food
and wine" rental, we can make up a specific programme where
our Chef and Sommelier will ensure a memorable stay
at Tourreau.
